Condition Detail
This close-up shows a slight paper lift in one area after hand-backing. A similar minor lift can be seen in one other small area.
Because this is a hand-brushed work on calligraphy paper, slight paper movement may occur during the hand-backing process. Once placed under the acrylic panel in the recommended 30 × 40 cm frame, it is not noticeable in normal display.
This condition has been clearly shown and reflected in the price.
Brushwork Detail
This close-up highlights the layered brushwork of Hareru. Adjusted sumi ink density and an extra-long-bristled Yanghao brush, a Chinese goat-hair calligraphy brush, create softness, overlap, and subtle tonal variation within the stroke. This highly responsive brush allows expressive movement, but requires careful control.
Finishing Process
This short studio video documents the finishing process of Hareru / 霽, including paper-backing, seal placement, and final studio preparation.
